Exclamation Group Buy info for KYB AGX's & TEIN springs (for Canadians only)

KYB AGX's w/ TEIN SOFT/MEDIUM/HARD springs shipped to Canada via USPS is $625USD ($968.75CAD w/ 1.55CDN:1.00US exchange). I just confirmed this with Chris @ TRi Tuning.

Please sign up here if you're interested. I will pass this info along to TRi Tuning. We need 5 people for this price. If we can get 10 people though, I can get you guys this set-up for $610USD ($945.50CAD w/ the above
exchange rate).

Update : checked todays exchange rate... it's now $1.51CAD:$1.00USD

If your interested, Please post here.

BTW, If you just want the Springs it can be done as well, TEIN Soft/Med/Hard for $175US +shipping. Or if you want AGX's a set of 4, is $430US shipped. Note these prices are w/ at least 5 people. If more, I'll talk to Chris again, to see what kind of deal I can get for you guys.

Markus - I hope the info helps!

Tulit - the $175US as I wrote is w/o shipping. They add up to the same thing when you factor in shipping. It's just that the struts are heavier than the springs, hence shipping is more biased for them vs. the springs I knew someone was going to say it was cheaper to buy them separate

Is the price $625 at my door or are there going to be additional charges? (i.e. gst, duty, etc or are you taking care of that?)

Tulit - like I said before, shipping is going to be via USPS, and I'm only setting up the GB and not selling to you guys directly. Canada Customs may charge GST, that's about it. Just to reiterrate (sp?!) I'm only setting up this GB and not selling directly... so if there are any other charges ex: customs/GST etc, you'll have to cover that. The prices that are quoted are only for product +shipping. I've had somethings come through via Canada post from the states that weren't charged... depends on if they're really busy... so just incase, you might expect GST.

All - I'll put up a list for the GB a little later...

Alright just wanted to make sure.

Just for everyones info,

in addition to GST you will be required to also pay the following.

$5 CAN duty processing (brokerage)
Duty (struts/springs are taxable. Not sure on the rate, but probably between 8-15%)

How soon is this happening? Are you placing the order right away? Im in if this is the case. Thanks for setting this up jack,.

Would love to get in on this deal but can't do it until the summer... (income tax return). May wait till then and go for the P1 or Ver 5 setup. Too bad though, sounds like a great deal for the adjustalble setup. Maybe someone will give a ride once they install it!

Just for your info....ANY purchase you make from the US, is subject to GST, and provincial taxes. Duty is also payable, AND if you use UPS, there will be a brokerage charge. (UPS is infamous for overcharging for their stupid brokerage services.)

USPS may or may not ding you for duty, but if Canada Customs stops your package and it's falsely labelled or incorrectly marked, it is subject to being impounded and you being fined.

Not to put a scare into you guys, but IF you are doing this through a legitimate shop, then you better be careful about sneaking stuff up through the border, as if you are caught, you will be fined severely.

Don - thanks for the heads-up, I'm not sure if you've read the whole post, but shipping is via USPS not UPS, hence it will be going through Canada Post. As well, like I have itterated above, I'm only setting up this GB for Canadians interested, and not selling directly and/or indirectly, this is a GB from Chris @ TRi Tuning down in PA.
Tulit has already giving us the info for GST etc. Please take no offence to this, as I mean no disrespect in anyway.

Oh, by all means, I have not been offended...(and yes, I do understand the United Postal Service....) they TOO can make you pay duty, cuz if they happen to open up your packages, (and I DO have more packages opened up by Canada Customs when the packages come in by US Postal Service vs UPS or Fedex)

That's my only beef with customs...is they can delay many of my shipments...so I have my customers clearly fill out customs documents and declarations when they send me back their rebuildable cores that I sell for my other cars.

But make sure you guys do it "safely" as Canada Customs is tougher than ever on falsely declaring products, and not paying duties.... I know, as we have friends that work for Customs, and they fill us in on the this stuff all the time.

don

ps...oh, and you might have to get the US company to fill out a customs document ahead of time with the order..... otherwise sometimes the receiver ends up being billed with a goofy US Customs fee. I've seen this a few times.

Don - thanks for your insight! I'll be sure to ask Chris @ TRi to fill the docs out right!

Is it me or Canada Customs is one of the most stringent ones in the world? I know that the ones in Germany and I think it was Sweden are as well. It's too bad everything isn't free trade. Oh well, I guess that's one way our gov't makes $$$

Custom/brokerage fees can be avoided. Just ask TRi to ship is as a gift. I got my Eibachs and a few other stuff w/o any brokerage fee.

You can always ask them if they'll mark the packages "Replacement for defective parts: value $0". Used that one allot to get computer equipment up from the states. Just a thought.
