Default redline 5w-30 plz read !

ok i ALWAYS use ams oils synthetic 5w-30, but today went to get my oil and they were all out, i need a oil change so i picked up some redline 5w-30 synthetic..anyone else run this ? do they like it? does your car like it ?..i know form the past my car does not like royal purple used it once and car burned it off fast.with ams i never hae a problem

Redline is all I use,Motul too expensive.

They're both good oils, but Redline is probably a little better. It's high in molybdenum and is made from ester base stocks. It also has a high High Temp High Shear so should resist shear better and stay in grade. I would probably return it for the 10W30 though if it were me (even though you can generally go thinner with RL).

sweet thanks guys..i already put it in so i cant e-turn it for 10w-30, i dont really understand oil to much..and always use a 5w-30....should i always be useing the 10w-30 ?

Look at the oil temp chart in your owner's manual. Also see what it says about high temps and severe driving. Also consider that it was written for a stock WRX. Since it's Redline you're probably fine.

The only way to really know is with a used oil analysis.
