Default Warranty Denial

I searched with no luck to my question so I am asking here. I am looking to install a short shifter and I was wondering if anyone has had their warranty denied because of a short shifter being installed.

I don't know if soa will deny your warranty because of a short shifter, you might want to get the factory short shifter to be safe. I also have an 06 wrx that I just broke 2nd in and I have a Kartboy short shifter in it 'm hoping that the soa rep wont deny my warranty because of it. wish me luck

If they deny a warranty because of a short shifter they might as well just get rid of their warranty program all together.

Unless the short shifter can be related to the failure, you will have no problems.

I have never denied a claim due to a short shifter.

Oh, and it will not 'void' your warranty either.....

Get the Subaru 5mt SS. Most SS are just modified shift levers. The Subaru SS actually has shorten linkage. I have a KartBoy SS with all the bushing. It's nice and feels much firmer over stock. If I had it to do over I would've gone with the Subaru SS and and changed out all the bushings. My .02

Thats only due to the linkage arm having more of a bend.

You can achieve the same results by bending the stock linkage arm a bit more.

Thats the only difference, and it can be achieve with a hammer and 1min of your time when it's out of the car

I was in my local subaru dealer the other day and they were selling the stock sti shifters, you might want to try one of those.
