Default 06 STi attempted wire tuck, polished manifold, samco hoeses, baller custom intake

Here was my Sunday afternoon project that turned into a Sunday all day project:

About a week and a half ago I gave a good friend of mine, Randy Stirm a wrinkle red STi intake manifold. Last Saturday night he gave it back to me as a beautifully polished piece, with all casting marks and unnecessary sections ground off. The plan was to install it Sunday (Fathers Day), including many Samco hoses, Building a temporary intake, and trying to tuck as many wires as possible without having to do much custom work. Here are the stages -

Start,

Dismantle,

Re-build,

Almost Done,

Special thanks to World One for temporarily letting me borrow a complete intake manifold assembly and Randy Stirm for putting a lot of time into the intake manifold and helping me all Sunday.

I will post new pics once I can get to polishing it back up, it got pretty dirty during the install.

Bwoods

take a day and do those headlights... What does that gasket taste like? Polished mani looks cool, and the engine bay does seem less cluttered. Good job!

I am running the Hydra Standalone EMS, no need for MAF.

won't that ducting collapse under boost?

not sure why you put that cheap ducting there instead of the pimp APS CAI since you're a car show guy.

The ducting is fine, and the so called pimp APS CAI cone collapsed because my turbo sucked on it to hard. Just because something dosn't cost much dosn't mean it is cheap

haha, I tucked a lot of it under the intake mani, just reversed brackets and what not.

For now the intake will stay how it is, I will most likely get a short ram after DTP. I am in a crunch right now.
