Anyone Have WRX Driveline Lash or Vibration?
My MY02 WRX with 5100 miles has developed a shudder at speeds of about 55 to 65 mph. Feeling is almost like a tire has been flatspotted. The RE92s seem ok and with ABS and AWD I think flatspots are sort of unlikely. Also, during steady speed, low gear (3rd) driving on slight uphill grades I notice what I can only describe as "driveline lash". Sort of a very fast forward and backward shudder or vibration which I suspect is related to the high speed vibration.
I read about something like this in Autoweek about 3 weeks ago but their description was only a sentence or two and was related to the motor mounts but they weren't sure. Has anyone else got the same or similar NVH issue? BTW, at highway speed, there is enough vibration to cause a dash buzz in the cupholder area.
