WRX in may....at Subaru City

i was there this morning talking to the owner i think...anyway he said that they will be getting four WRX's in in May, all in sedan. just posting this in case anyone cares!!

oh and he said it would be around $36,000.

My dealer here in Wpg (the only one in town) says their price is 36,495. Let's have a comparison here. Let's see which dealers are asking too much.

The MSRP is $34995 for both sedan and wagon. www.wrx.ca

They're saying it's freight and destination charges.

I believe it should be around ~$500-800 for destination charge. It may be more for the interior for box caring them???

Subaru always does this.

The MSRP is the base price. You then have to add...
- GST (about $2450 on a $35k car)
- Frieght/PDI (about C$600)
- Title registration ($???)
- Tire taxes (C$16)
- etc.
- etc.
- etc.

The whole thing will cost you probably $41,000.00 by the time you add it all up.

I love my RS!!!

My freight was $345, PDI was $310 and $45 adm fee... on my 99RS which I bought in April 99....

No, but there seems to be only a few WRX enthusiastic dealers which want to pass on the joy to their customers by negotiating a regular price (ie: not above MSRP). Luckily we have a nice dealer in Vancouver (no final prices yet though), and I'm sure Lachute over in the east would be friendly too.

i would have to agree with markus. after all the other charges on top of the car you would be around $40000. don't expect to pay what the dealer tells you now.

Hi,
I recently ordered a Blue WRX. I bought it in the Ottawa region. I paid MSRP + 1000$ destination charge, blah,blah,blah... So, at the end of the day, the price tag was 35995$. However, this doesn't seem to be a "final" price as all the details are not known (ie exact destination charge, etc...).

Sadly enough, if you look at the WRX Countdown forum, most of our Yankee friends are paying invoice + a few hundreds (which is way lower than MSRP...). Are we being ripped off in Canada??
