Plenty of used MY99+ RS's out here. Beat the crazy tax if you want a 2.5RS.

Remember that you aren't going to be able to ride a bike in the winter, or drift, or... Yeah, if I lived in LA where you could ride a bike all year round then I might go the bike route, but here you can only ride 4 months or so...

Smile

go test drive a Tpye R
than test drive a RS
after test drive a WRX

in between u can also test the VW and the honda or the toyota.

what u get from Subaru, u can not get else where, TRACKion and torque.

(vw provide torque as well, but no traction... the only others i could think of which could be (or better) than subaru is Audi... u make the choice)

u want to save money? best buy must be a echo, safe u money on gas and also give u so much space.

(don flame me, i like the echo hutch back avaliabe in japan, it does look cool)

Steve,

You cannot possibly compare the performance/$ factor of a car vs bike. The deck is stacked far too much in the Bike's favour. That being said though, why would you want something that you can only enjoy a solid 4 months/year? I'm sure the excuse of my Bike couldn't get through the snow today will wash with your new employer. I'd go for a nice used RS with low kms and that way you have a solid platform for perfomance and as you get more money, you can buy those upgraded performance parts.

Besides, you don't want any speeding tickets with a Bike do you??

Steve,

Get the RS! The WRX will be nice but $40 large is a lot to drop on a sub-compact.
