Default Stock 2.0 ECU OK to run 2.5l hybrid? Cobb says so...

I called Cobb today to see if they had a base map I could run on my hybrid so I could drive it 120 miles to ATL for Topspeed to do the final tune and they said the stock ECU will run it fine so long as I stay out of boost as much as possible. Does this sound right? Anyone have any experience with this? Kinda related to my other post but this is a little more unique.

subscribed! I'd also like to know if it's OK to run my V1 AP with Stage 2.5 on a hybrid.

I assume the 2.5L sb is the only change from your previous tune?

If so you'll be just fine if you take it easy on the way to the tune. I'd try to stay completely out of boost though, just to be safe.

Got the car running just fine on the 2.0 ECU but we forgot to adjust valve lash so we will have to go back in and do that before it can be tested more thoroughly. FWIW it starts and idles perfectly all day long on the stock 2.0 ECU. Once fixed, we will limp it 120 miles to ATL to let Topspeed do the final tune.

I'm still using my 05 wrx ecu, aside from boost control, nothing really HAD to be changed, the ecu can cope with it.

I thought about that but don't turbo engines need to see SOME boost for everything to seat right? That's the map I really need....it would need to make sure my A/F's are OK so we don't have det issues as well.
