Default turboxs downpipe installed

I installed turboxs d-pipe a few days ago and am very pleased with every thing about it. The fit was perfect I did not replace gasket and still had no leak. My car has almost 11000 miles so i thought that it may be a problem, happy I was wrong. The new down pipe worked very well on the performance side also most obvious is the spool up on turbo very quick and the top end power is much better.

sorry I forgot to mention that the down pipe is not a bolt in. Turboxs makes the rest of the pieces for a full turbo back system, but I was low on cash so I had a friend at a muffler shop do the rest. The down pipe is shorter than the factory I think.

One of the best ways into this upgrade imho is to do the TXS downpipe + midpipe and use the stock muffler until you either have the $$ or find the right muffler (as in my case). Its pretty cost efficient that way and changing out the muffler is far far easier (DIY) than getting the downpipe in, a process that's enough of a hassle to make paying a shop to install.

btw, TXS uses a factory style joint between downpipe and mid, not a braided connection

What kind of difference in exhaust note/volume did you notice with the new d-pipe?

exhaust note: (stock muffler, TXS down+ mid) very much like stock-i think just ever so slightly more sound at idle...In fact ts totally sleeper. too mild for me given all the new hp/torque

exact pricing: call Mark at TurboXS 877 231 3235 mine was less than $ 700 and I think its a great deal.

The gasket was a flat 2bolt. If you plan to do a custom exaust from the d-pipe back like I did, talk to mark and see if you can buy a 2bolt flange and gasket you will have a hard time finding one at a muffler shop.

I would imagine the $700 is for the down+midpipe. The high-flow cat is in the midpipe. The difference between the stage 1 and stage 2 kits is $700, and the stage 2 consists of the new downpipe and midpipe. I'm definitely going this route and keeping the stock muffler on the car. I'm looking for as little noise as possible. As nice as some of the aftermarket exhausts sound, I think I like the sleeper idea better.

Just send me an E.mail and I get back to you, I prefer to go wendsday nights let me no if that works for you. What do you have done to your car,and what is your car(sedan/wagon which color). The down pipe is about $325. If you would like to see it let me know.

I got: mrt modfied exhaust soon to be catless, m2 uppipe,
m2 intercooler, injen intake, stage 2 unichip, egt, boost ,
knocklink thats it, damn its just gettin faster each day. i
can't wait untill i cut out the cat in downpipe, worth about
20hp. sense i found out if the cat is in the downpipe it
produces little extra hp.

I think speedworld is open sat i might go to see what i
run sense i have know idea never ran my car yet, would
be a good test to see what gains would be over catless
system which i'll be taken out after new year.

plus found some 109 octane for 4.80 gal yeaa baby
later
