grounding question

Ive seen spark plug wires and coil packs with a external bonding our grounding wire that "increase hp" If this is true can I fab my own external grounding wire from the coil pack to the frame our negative terminal post on the battery. does this sound safe our bad idea. Im doing a hole grounding kit in the engine bay. thanks for your input

correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't the bolt that holds the coil pack on ground it to the block? if so it would just be easier to make a better ground from the block to the rest of the car

thats what im thinking im allready running a 0 gauge wire from frame to block and tranny . but ive all seen arching before so i figured and added ground wouldnt hurt. plus lol looks cool too!
