Default 04 STI Turbo back OK for stage 2 on 04 WRX?

I was just curious as to if an STI turboback would be ok to use for a stage 2 setup. I tried searching and could find nothing related, and found it hard to search without getting a whole bunch of stuff I didnt want.

And I suppose you can disregard this question if the stock STI exhaust doesnt fit the 04 at all, i dont know if it fits either.

That being said, read the sticky threads. Plus there are 945 kinds of Stage 2. Find the website of your Stage 2 Vendor and search there....more than likely though the answer is no as the STI turboback will net you ZERO improvement over what you have.

Moving......

If you want to go Cobb stage 2, then a stock STi catback is perfectly fine. They only require you to have a downpipe. I tried switching between the stock STi catback (which fits fine on a WRX) and a 3" full catback, and noticed no noticeable performance difference. Boost level was the same, along with trap speed at the strip.

He didn't' say catback.

And to answer the question, no it will not work.
