A Challenge to all vendors and tuners...

I hope this is a good section to post this in. Hopefully this is already happening, but if not, I want to pose a challenge to all WRX vendors and tuners. Enter the Sport Compact Car Ultimate Street Car Challenge, and mop them up. Obviously some of the big names (M2, Vishnu) have shown SCC what they are capable of. Since this new competition doesn't start until September 2002, they should be even better. Check the February 2002 SCC for the current competition and an entry form. I know you guys can kick ass and take names!

The competition is already over with. The last day of the 2-day test was Sept. 10th, 2001. Long lead times are tyipcal of magazines. I was the driveability judge, btw. So I guess I couldn't have entered it myself

Sweet, I guess I didn't look closely enough. The entry form is for the 2002 competition. I have a feeling there will be a WRX in that one. The 10 finalists that competed were voted on out of a pool of a couple dozen or so in one issue of SCC earlier this year, if I recall correctly. Also, the voting was prior to any tuned WRX's, maybe it was even before the US release (Shiv?) The challenge still stands, follow these easy steps: 1)enter competition 2a)arrive and 2b)compete 3)kick ass.

Any hints Shiv...?

I don`t think he actually "works" for SCC. I think he just does some articles for them. I could be wrong.

That's right. I am not an employee of SCC. Just some independant schmoe who sells them tech stories and features. Been doing it for years, starting back in '97.
