NJ: Considering parting out car totalled from flood damage
As some of you may have seen on other classifieds posts, I've been parting out the aftermarket parts from my car. The car was totalled due to flood damage..
The water came up just to the bottom of the seats, but was quickly drained out (well, bailed out)
The main problem is the inevitable electrical problems assosiated with a flood damaged car. The car turns over, and while it doesn't sound great, it does run.
The interior is (well, was) in great shape before the flood water, and now is obviously quite soaked, but again.. with TLC, could completely be useable.
The main reason I'm not doing any of this work myself is simple. I've just started a new job in a city, so I have no where to keep it/work out of.. Nor do I have the time.
I'm CONSIDERING parting the car out, as in tact as possible.
The car is completely a completely stock 2003 Subaru WRX with a few exeptions
1. STi Struts, Whiteline? springs. (I completely forget the make of the springs. They're light blue in color, about 1 1/2" in front, 3/4" rear, stiff enough to be responsive, but wont knock your teeth out) - 40,000 miles
*2. TurboXS intake - 20,000 miles
3. GFB MBC
*4. Rota Slipstreams (16x7, steel grey) with Falken Ziex All Seasons.. 225/50/16 - 40,000 on wheels (No dings, curb rash, minor minor scratches only) 8,000 on tires. great shape
*5. Infinity Basslink
*6. STi catback - 25,000 miles
7. Perrin catless uppipe - 50,000 miles
*8. VF39 - 25,000 miles
*9. Invidia 3" downpipe - 50,000 miles
*- Parts with a * are for sale seperately as I can take them off relatively quickly. I need a set of wheels to put on the car if you want the slipstreams, so keep that in mind.
I'd also consider trades+$ on a beater car.. Older subaru's, VWs.. S10 or like-sized pickup, no fords or hondas (sorry guys, bad luck i just hate 'em)
PM me.. Reasonable offers will be replyed to with a cellphone number and we can talk the rest out as I don't have a ton of time to check email constantly.
Will post pics ASAP
(if you read this and have been in a similar situation, please drop me a line I have a few questions!)
Bluebook value of car - $11,000 (obviously not trying to get this much for it)
*** Will not part out individual body peices..fenders, quarterpanels, etc.. or seats, simply because..if insurance does end up taking the car I don't want to look like an idiot with missing seats and stuff.. haha

Do you have the arm rest console lid (extended or not)? Would it fit a 2002?
What about the trunk emblems? I'm looking for the "WRX" and the "Impreza"
