Default help, which way to go to Lake Winnipesaukee

I am comming from western MA, should I go 91 north to VT 9 over to 93 in NH or should I take 2 to 495 to 93 north? I heard there was construction on 495?

the only real question is: which is faster, 2 or 9? Because other than that, it's pretty equal. 91 and 495 are both fast moving as long as you miss the rush on 495. How far north does 9 hit 93?

From UCONN, I used to go I90 >> I290 >> I495 >> I95 >> 16

That'll spit you pretty close to the lake and is a relatively direct route. I think the other way would be a lot longer.

Take 2 to 495 to 93 north. Where in the lake are you going? I am from belmont, which is right off of silver lake, the smaller one next to winnisquam. Thats the best route, however.

mappoint says 9.

I think it's six of one, half dozen of the other.

93 is the way to go. With out question. There is no easy way to get from 91 to the Lake. Most of the roads are single lane highways.

ok i'll throw in my 2 cents

i would go 2 > 495 > rt3 > 93

getting on Rt 3 and heading north through Nashua,NH and you'll pick up 93 just past Manchester,NH before the Hooksett tolls

keeps you from having to go too far east(Salem, Nh) only to have to head back to Manchester the rt3 goes right through.. and Rt3 has very little traffic

Yea that sounds about right. I have a place in Laconia on the Lake. I love it up there.
