Thumbs down Cancelled: Winter Driving School in Ottawa

With the weather staying above 0 (even 10 degrees celcius), it has made the upcoming winter driving school on March 11th almost impossible to be held.

We've been discussing it constantly over the past few weeks concerning the overall conditions of the Ottawa River. We had planned for the school on the river (isolated bay area). We've checked it's conditions and there's still a good thickness for safety to hold half ton trucks but there's a good 3 inches of water on top of the ice.

With all the facts, we've decided this morning to cancel the winter driving school. We didn't want to since we've been working on it over the past 4 months but for safety reasons, costs, etc.. We didn't have any choice.

We didn't want to take our chances and hoped the weather cooperated over the next week. We had give a proper notice of cancellation to our suppliers/vendors. If not, we faced a late cancellation charge.

If you have any question, do not hesitate to contact me at robin@ottawasubaru.com

Thanks.

Unhappy

Dammed! And I just got my car back too.
Thanks for the effort anyway Robin (and Skip et al), it would've been great.
