shouldn't even be talking about the lotus' speed in a straight line(which is certainly faster than a wrx or many sti's). it will easily destroy any car in that price range, in the twisties.

This vid reminds me of someone down the street who did the classic "cut hole in hood for air filter mod" on his 1994-ish chevy corsica. Couldn't believe someone would still do that even after looking through the rice thread. Just amazing....

It's funny, the Beretta firearm company sued G.M. over the Beretta name.

I was a Z26 fool!

I went to high school in the early 90's, so cheezy GM crap like that car were all over the place.

Street racing is dope!!

Check out this story, courtesy of one Asinine:

His insides churned and his loins swelled. Only the distant howl of a siren and rustling of discarded newspaper on the dank sidwalk broke the eery calm. The charcoal shadows thrown from the streetlights over the garbage cans were the only witnesses to his passion--his carnal desires!

Only minutes earlier he was minding his own business, doing two--maybe even three--miles per hour under the speed limit. It was then that he heard the lustful buzz of the aftermarket exhaust. He knew in his soul and in his flesh that it was a late 90s Civic with a 3" pipe. He'd had them before, and they were always satisfying... satisfying until the thrill had subsided and the craving filled his manhood once again.

It was fate, he was sure, that they both ended up at the intersection together. It was fate that there were no other cars on the road. It was fate that conditions were good. He knew it to be true! He could feel his feet trembling in anticipation of the hot, thrusting motion of the pistons.

Just then, the opposing light turned yellow. The moment of ecstasy was nigh! He jammed the clutch pedal to the floor as a gutteral moan crossed his lips. His balls ached with a reptilian desire that demanded quenching! Would it be an immediate change to green, or would there be a delay? He must seize the moment, but he feared the "premature launch" which would deminish the conquest at his fingertips!

The opposing light turned red and immediately his light turned green. He knew that the dark figure next to him wanted the hard, relentless pressure of the racing seat against its backside as much as he did. He bounced the the tachometer off the rev limiter once and released the clutch with a passionate heave of his foot.

The frenzy of lust and acceleration was almost too much to bear! He told himself not to miss a shift, he must make this moment last--but not too long. His mind swirled and raced, as did the blood through his now erect manhood--like velvet-covered steel!

He mashed on the gas and, as he had anticipated, the headlights of his quarry began to fade behind him. He only took it to five miles per hour over the speed limit--because he is a good and safe driver; even when he street races. At that moment he knew it was over. He took his hand from the virbating stick and activated the hazzard lights but for a moment. And then... he allowed himself to breath once more.

The craving had been fed--for now.

Reallllly... So your telling me more "2.5" Wrx's put down 200whp rather than 180whp... the average puts down 180whp.
"Omg cobb said it, Cobb has dyno sheets"
Get off Cobb's nuts they obviously use some kind of EM to sell their business and say its stock...
Let me guess stock sti's put down 250+ - 260whp?
Cocky ass wagon boy.

Just to shut you up:

EJ20 WRX (02-05):

EJ25 WRX (06-07):

STi:

... That is all the same dyno. No "trickery"... hop over to Cobb's forums and browse around a bit. Christian and the other guys are a huge part of the community, and constantly keep us in the loop with their breakthroughs and progress.

I think that's the reason people seem to be "on Cobb's nuts," as you so eloquently said, along with, oh, I don't know, 5+ years of dedication, customer service, and incredible parts? Nah, couldn't be it.

Welcome to progress, my friend. Car companies learn from mistakes and shortcomings, and improve their cars. No reason to "hate," but don't be completely ignorant. It only makes you look stupid.

actually sti's are putting down around 230-235whp. and whats up with you all up on EM this EM that??? did u just learn about it or something??? is that your Letters of the WEEK? if you do some research instead of getting all emotional about things you'll notice that with the AP stage 1 is getting .5 or 1hp more on the 2006's. the 06's are pretty much maxed out. until you do tbe and em.

working at a subaru dealership enables me to talk with a lot of diff SOA people. and its a well known fact that in 2006 subaru held back on its claims of hp for marketing purposes. some insiders say that starting in 06 wrx's were pushing around 250-260 crank.

so after you crashed your civic you bought the 2.0? get off the boards man, you are stupid, you have no facts, and when you were proved wrong you still try to pick an e-fight, i would stop saying such rude things to people so involved in the suby community or you might find yourself getting banned from the forums that you obviously need to read so you can get your facts straight.

i take it you arent welcome at any scic suby meets since you are such a huge coc]{ stain in this wonderful thing we call life
