Thumbs up SS Brake Lines

I had sushi with Don Nimi of PDM-Racing tonight and he tells me he can get a set of SS Brake lines for our cars for approximately C$140 - C$150 a set if he can get 6 to 10 people to buy in. Since I'm expecting to do a strut/spring install within the next 2 weeks and would have to bleed the brakes anyway, I've already told him to count me in.

Any other takers? If so, send Don an e-mail at the above link.

Cheers,
MB

hehehe...I'm a goof! <IMG SRC="http://cwm.ragesofsanity.com/s/cwm/buck.gif" border=0>

Rickd, send a message to Don and ask, but I would assume that the SS lines would be WAAAAAY better than stock and the stock ones are DOT approved. *shrug*

Bender, drop a line to Don and let him know if you are in or not. He must know by no later than noon this Friday (Feb 23).

To save some people money that they might not necessarily want to spend...

You guys do know that you DON'T have to bleed your brakes to install shocks right?

Depends on how you install your shocks.

If you do it right, and feed the brake line through the mounting bracket on the new shocks, then yes you have to bleed them.

If you dont want to, you can just cut a slit in the bracket, put the brake line in, and bend it back. This saves you from bleeding them.

I checked with Don today, the lines are factory assembled, DOT approved lines. Not put together from parts. Is there any confirmation on the price yet?

Not being intimately familiar with shipping from the US, I can't really say how well it compares but it is certainly very close in price and its coming from Canada so you know it won't have any potentially funny duty charges attached to it. If we only get 6 people, Don was saying around C$150, if we get 10, around C$140.

I trust Don enough that I know he won't screw me.

My 2cents.
