Question 20mm Sway Bar

What does a sway bar do? How does it change the feel of the ride?

A sway bar affects the way weight transfers from one side of the car to the other. A stiffer (IE Bigger) bar transfers some of the load from the heavily loaded tire to the tire without as much of the load. THis greatly improves the way the car handles. On the front of the car, it increases understeer and on the back of the car it increases oversteer. With a larger rear bar on an impreza, it is quite possible to get the tail out if you corner hard. Don't think it affects the ride too much normally.
