Question Need to buy a new 2.2L Turbo Motor

I need another motor for my 94 subaru legacy. It has a 2.2L Turbo motor. I'd like to have the same thing. The other one is clanking... time to replace it. I need to find an EJ22T.... Please help me locate a good buy on one.

It's an ej22t and they are not cheap new, and quite expensive for a used engine.

You can do a complete rebuild for under $1000. Or you could figure out what is wrong and just fix that.

The cheapest way to get a whole motor would be find a whole car and take the engine out of it. A really beat up one can be found for under $1000.

I would go with a rebuild since you can replace anything thats broken or worn and be sure is as good as new.

clanking sound? If its what my ej22e had, it was just a stuck lifter that i got unclogged with by using Mobil 1 0-40 and Z-max and drove it hard off-and-on for about 150 miles.
