Default First problem with Rex...

Rex started has its first problem at 10,100 miles. In the last two days I have noticed something going on. When cold the car stutters. If I use light throttle its ok but if I use more than 1/4 I get a bucking like there is a dead mis. Idle is perfect. Power is normal. It just cuts out and generaly feels bad. Once warm I had no issue. The mis and cut out is slight so I passed it off.

This morning.. Same thing. Slight stumble when cold. Nothing major. Go past 1/4 throttle and it smooths out. Not much to worry about but it is stumbling.

On the way home on Decel I noticed something odd.. As many of us know on decel there is still some fuel being injected so the decel is smooth. In my car on decel on the highway I can feel the fuel being turned off and on. One sec ther is major pull and and slows down fast, the next sec I am at normal decel.

At light part throttle cruise if you let off the slightest bit on the pedal the car falls on its face as if you turned the motor off. Push the gas pedal in a bit and you get your power back as normal.

Odd problem. Again, The car idles perfect. WOT power is normal. No CEL. Car is bone stock and I just did 1000 miles in it over the holiday.

Me too!!!

I've just been ignoring it or chalking it up to some Unichip weirdness (just got the chip a few weeks ago).

*thinking*

Check your coils. They may be toast after using the Link. Don't ask me to elaborate. I will only say that someone I know attempted to tune a WRX with one. He killed a coil with it.
If that isn't it, check all vacumm connections.

I am using and have been using the stock ECU. I have a link but it is not in the car right now. I think I will start with Plugs. Now, who has Plugs instock?

Thanks

FWIW I have the same thing in my wagon. I had chalked it up to a cold clutch and flywheel though. The clutch won't grab as hard as it does when it is warm when it is cold. After a minute or two it goes away. So, who knows which is right...
