whether "close" or even somewhat accurate, I think the red pic up there from the mag scan looks really nice. The way the front fenders flare and seem to be tightly drawn over the shoulders and wheels just looks great. I don't seem to be as bothered by the supposed "happy face" that others are so concerned with. You're looking too hard for a comparison instead of just noticing the lines and other features that work so well together.

cheers

+1 ^^ I also like the red chop(?) for the STI, and it doesn't look that far off from the spy shot, except for the grill, so looks like good news. Initially I was more interested in the WRX wagon, as I don't want to compromise too much on the space of my Accord, however, this might inspire me to buy the STI in a year, when I might be looking for a car.
BMW 1xx doesn't do it for me for some reason.

Speaking of the 135... if that comes in at $30-35k with that nasty 3.0, twin turbo straight 6, it would be tough to choose an sti over it...

Do you think that Subaru considers these things and will up the ante?

TT flat 6? Active rear diff?

</end> wishful thinking <end>

I wont even look at the sti if the 135 is in that price range, unless the new sti is a total road raping machine

Not this family guy; not enough cargo space.

The black car is the only accurate shot of the car you guys have.

Red is wrong.

White is wrong.

Awesome.

unit, you said that you're planning on buying the STi when it comes out, correct? Can you give any hints if the quad tip exhaust will make it into production?

Maybe it was one of your posts where I read that. I knew I read somewhere before those pics at the ring came out about a quad exhaust being in the cards.

That might have been one of my ramblings about dual exhaust and the hotness of the Legacy STI exhaust........

Subtle doesn't even begin to describe it.

I will say that is my least favorite bit about the new STi.

lol i like the quad exhaust. and to piggyback on what Unit has said... there are a lot of details covered up in the camo that are completely wrong on the chops. The front bumper is horrifically mangled on the chops.

Better get used to the rear because you'll be seeing plenty of it whenever you race them.

I like the quad exhaust, too, and I'm glad you said the front bumper photochop is off.
