WRX on Forestery Trunk Road?

A buddy of mine was driving from etown to Banff this last weekend and decided to take his 4-wheel drive jeep across some pretty rugged snow covered forestery roads (logging). During his 6 hour drive in the wilderness (believe me, I am talking in the middle of nowhere) he passes a WRX going the other way. The only other vechicle he saw during the 6 hours.

I challenged him and suggested that what he saw was an impreza RS, but he insists it was a WRX (round headlights). He know what one looks like, because I have parked mine next to his at work for a week.

Anybody out there go for a drive in the country this last weekend??

Might have been someone related to teh Rally of the Ranchlands held outside cochrane this weekend, though I don't remember seeing a WRX anywhere around there. Might also have been one of the rally teams (not competing in the event) out playing with their new car
