Post SOC announces test-drive clinics

In today's National Post, page F5, there's an article about Subaru of Canada holding test drive clinic across Canada for the WRX and Outback H6. It saids to contact the nearest Dealer to register.

Anybody know any details on this? Are there really spots left, or it this just a promotional article?

Gar-man,

SOC has already approached all 3 eastern subaru club (Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal) to reserve specific spots for the club members.

Check out the the TO board (www.toronto-subaru-club.com) to see if they have any spots left... If they don't have any left, you'll need to contact your local dealer if there's spots remaining.

OK. Just as I thought. The spots are not available for the WRX test drive, but yet, SOC still makes an announcement in the newspaper to get people into the Dealerships.
That's just plain dirty!!

Gar-Man...

C'mon read the article...it says go to a dealer and sign up.

It doesn't say, ask the Toronto Subaru Club for details...does it??!!

My dealer knew nothing about it. LUckily, I signed up for it at the carshow in January, and last week I received an rsvp in the mail.I'm just waiting for my confirmation.

I didn't put any blame on the Toronto Club. Just Subaru of Canada (SOC). I just don't think they should make an announcement like that if all the spots are filled. It's like a store advertising door-crasher specials to get people to walk in, and they didn' have any products in the first place.

That is my point. Just because the Subaru club has filled their allotment of spaces does not mean that the event is fully booked.
Did you go to a dealer and try to sign up? Who told you there are no spots left? This isn't being run by the Subaru Club, it is being run by Subaru.

I signed up with my dealer last week, no problem.
