Default oem wrx exhaust to oem sti exhaust ?s

hey guys, im looking to just do some small mods to my 07 wrx sedan. i dont wanna buy a big aftermarket exhaust and my neighbor is willing to sell me the exhaust pieces from his 05 sti (catback and header). so here are my questions.

will these parts bolt on directly?
will i feel any gains/ is it worth doing the swap?
will my car sound better?

thanks guys!

Yes, These will bolt directly to your car.

No, You prolly will not feel any gains. Though the STi CB does flow a lot better than the WRX CB

No, Your car will still sound stock. I have a invidia catless DP on my car and my car sounds no different than stock. Unless your outside the car and someone revs it up you will hear a little bit of a difference.

Also, You dont need the header. You are not going to gain much, in fact you might lose some spool out of it. Unless you are going all out then I would go with a header. But, if it is his stock STi exhaust manifold you DON"T NEED IT!

Hope this helps.

Actually, the 06-07 WRX and 07 STi all have a different header than the older style 2.5L headers. Looking at it, I would prefer the 06-07 WRX header over the old style.

It depends how much money your friend is willing to sell you the parts for. Honestly your better off just buying an aftermarket cat-back. Go with the SPT exhaust if you want stock-like appearance, with a sweet exhaust note that brings out the boxer-rumble without being too loud.

if anything i'd get the AXLEBACK off him. don;t pay more than 100 bux IMO none of those parts will give you any gain.the sti axleback will just look cooler +1 for spt if you want quiet and a little more sound

I looked at doing that as a friend of mine was giving me his sti catback...it is the exact same size and muffler with a diff tip. we compared the two side by side... you are wasting your $.
