Default FS: WA, SYMS Coilovers, rare jdm authentic

Price drop $1000+shippingUp for sale are the syms coilovers off my '02 wrx wagon. These were on car when I bought it, and I believe they were installed for a total of 2 years. However they have very few actual miles driven on them (less than 10k). This car was in the shop very often, rarely if ever driven hard, and never tracked. I'm not sure of the exact specs on the spring rates, but trust me they are very stiff. Sean at RalliTek can verify the condition and treatment of this car, since he built this monster.

I gave them a light once over cleaning, but I'll include a can of brakcleen, pb blaster, and some anti-seize compound so the new owner can give them a thorough cleaning prior to installation.

There is one slight problem with one of the rears. The 16 pt adjuster is broken. Everything is there but the knob doesn't adjust the damping anymore. The strut isn't blown or anything, the damping is just stuck on the stiffest setting. If you prefer a very stiff ride (great for the track) then it's no problem. But if you want these for a soft daily driver, then the adjuster will most likely need to be fixed.

This is where it gets a little tricky. No one in the usa (that I can find at least) is authorized or familiar with working on syms coilovers. The only place I found that can fix the adjuster is in Chofu-shi, Tokyo. It's a place called Pura Plata Inc. and they are authorized and recommended by syms. I've got all the contact info if you want to fix it. To fix the adjuster, the one coilover needs a rebuild, which costs $213.00.

I'm asking $1000plus shipping, which is less than half the price of retail, if you can even find these. Japanparts has them for $2876.51 plus shipping and a wait time of a 14-21 days. I'll entertain interesting trades for rare items for either a 2002 wrx wagon, or 2005 sti. I live in Vancouver, WA and am willing to drive a reasonable distance to meet for a swap.

Thanks, Jason

Anyone have anything to offer? Money or trades? I would like to get rid of these.
This is an awesome setup if you track your car, or just like a really stiff setup.

These are a great set-up I drove them in the DC Shoes Gumball car.

I wish I had the cash, what are you looking for in trade?

I'd like a turbo upgrade for my 2005 sti, maybe a new twin plate clutch, Varis side cf side skirts or rear diffuser. That's just what I'd like, I'll consider just about anything that's of high quality and somewhat rare for a 2005 sti, or a 2002 wrx wagon.

Thanks, Jason

Dammit, someone needs to buy these things for $1100!!!

16-way, inverted, front and rear camber plates, built by a race team, etc.

Any idea what the spring rates are? The only trade I have to offer is a set of Megan Track (12/10kg) coilovers.
