that's the price i meant by normal, cheap SVX but KBB isn't expecting an 11 year old car with 14K miles.

what were you looking to get...cause like I said..for a 1996 SVX with 14500 miles..the retail is $6100-$8100 depending on condition..yours is immaculate so like $8100..but getting the exact worth is never going to happen on any vehicle.

Honestly, a car such as this with these kind of miles can pull more than the KBB value... but only within reason. In all honesty, AugustusMaximus was right in saying that if you want big money for the car, eBay will get you what you're looking to get.

In my opinion, you're crazy to take less than $8000 for an SVX like this when none of the 5 currently on eBay have <100k miles on them.

Best of luck with the sale - if I were in the position to buy another car right now, I'd be all over this!

thank you very much. and yes, we would be crazy to take 8G for this car. my dad is looking for a substantial amount more than that.

but i've told a few people this via PM, my dad isn't looking to really sell this car for a few years, unless the perfect price comes along. by then, i bet some subaru nut will come along and realize what an amazing car he/she will be getting. it's the one of the last years it was made, top of the line at that, and probably the lowest mileage SVX in america by many miles. there's even one for sale on cars.com for 15000 that has over 50K miles. if all fails on here or anywhere else, the owner of the subaru dealer which we bought our last 9 cars from offers us a lot of money for it every time we go there.

and i also brought up the fact that my dad could just keep it and i get it at a discount someday.

I'd honestly give it a shot on eBay with a nice, high reserve and see where it goes...

I would hope that either a collector or a Subaru tuner would pick this thing up. A collector would be ideal, because it would stay in this condition indefinitely; however, seeing a Subaru shop pick it up, build the block and throw a nice twin turbo setup on it would be sweet too.

Again, best of luck with the sale - hit me up with a round-abouts of what your Dad has in mind $$-wise.

Just to help you out, '97 is the last year they were made. Also, you probably have the lowest but not by 20k.

'97 had a different grill and there were only 640 '97s built. (technically they were all the same model, 2 if you count OBDI and OBDII as different models )

Default I am interested

Hello

I am interested in the SVX. How do I get in touch with you.

I have sent a PM as well.

I originally saw your post on another forum specific to SVX's and replied there as well.

regards

Max
