Default ***!>? 93 sedan sway bar!

I am getting my hands on an 18mm sway bar from a 97 2.5Gt... and I looked on my sedan.. NO REAR BAR!

I could have sworn my mom's old 92 wagon had one! how can I apply a rear sway to my 93 sedan L AWD?

HELP!
if push comes to shove, I will hold it until I get the 1998 sedan in august.. but god damn!

Pete

www.teaguesauto.com sells 20 and 21 cuscos.

My '93 wagon doesn't either. Neither does my mom's 92.

90-91 did. I think it was a 13mm. Could have been 15 though.

Roger, If the bar you have is a stock bar from a 97 GT I think it's a 16mm bar, which is what I took off my 98 GT Wagon. To be certain slip open end metric wrenches of various sizes onto the bar til you get a tight fit, and that's the size.
As far as fitting to an L, did you notice any mounting points for the end-links on your L? You may in fact need some additional hardware, besides the end links to make it work.
This site has some good pics of Impreza application but you can see the way the links mount to the rear suspension. AZScooby in the links section of this Board.

Sorry Pete, misread who I was replying to...DOH!
Just looked under my GT and the two bars that have the end-link brackets welded to them must be different on the L model. You are also missing the 2 sway-bar mounts ,bolted into the frame rails, that keep the bar located. This looks to be beyond a simple parts swap and you may wanna wait till you get the 98.

Sorry, but you could get the rods and mounts off a Gen1 Turbo(or Gen2?) and have the mounts welded or drilled and tapped into the frame rails . especially if you plan to use the car for track use! The parts can be gotten, but you'll need to measure and talk to a parts expert about what'll fit. Teagues sounds like they know what may match up. Don't get bummed, just look harder and make some calls!!
