Default Head Unit/Speaker Question for Fairbanks Folks

Hey all. I'm going to be moving to Fairbanks in the fall to go to UAF for my masters degree. I am wondering when it is getting pretty cold (< -20) if you guys still run your stereos. I know the operating temperature for my stereo components are rated for -10.

I am just trying to gauge how brutal the cold will be to my components.

Thanks,

Andrew

I run my stuff in the winter. You have to give everything ample time to warm up, and I don't POUND it.. ALWAYS make sure your headunit is turned WAAAAY down when you exit your car, otherwise you can say goodbye to your voice coils. If you have an LCD screen on your headunit, make sure you let that warm up before you start messing with the controls, otherwise you'll damage that, as well.
