Default any predictions on what SOA will have at this years auto shows?

Next week is the philly auto show. SOA usually brings something really cool to the show here. Two years ago was the supposed wrx for the american market. You could tell that the car had been flogged real good. Last year was the brat thing. Maybe this year a glimpse of the sti? Or what the japanese market is getting now on there rex's? Projectors, a taller scoop, and that grill would look soooo sweet on my car when I pick her up this summer.

Maybe new interior options?? hopefully we get to see something cool?

I predict they will have a renewed sense of urgency to release the STi when the US EVO 7 is announced at the Detroit Auto Show.

It would be cool the see the new JDM WRX styling.

It would be much, MUCH cooler to see the STi!

Well, detriot is the real big show out here this time of year, but LA seems to get their fair share of the cars. Some stuff is even shared between the shows by being in one show part of the week and then going to the other show.

I'll be checking out LA on the 5th or 6th.

i went to the autoshow in D.C.
and the subaru section only had a SOA rally car, a wrx wagon, wrx sedan (auto) and yellow wrx sedan on a rotating stand.
thats about it for subaru along with their other models

the new model announcements tend to happen in either Detriot or NY.

For instance, in January last year, SOA sent a couple people from the board to the auto show to see the unveiling of the WRX. If anything is to change, most likely, we'll find out then.

Based on the past experiences, SOA always show off its new car in Detroit Show first.

The Detroit show will show the new pickup, *rumored* to be called the Baja. The pickup will be in showrooms next fall. We may also see a concept showing the GM/Subaru collaboration.

Next show, Chicago in Feburary, the '03 Legacy will be shown. I'm guessing this will get some of the upgrades that the Japanese and Aussie Legacys just got. The cars should be in showrooms by July.

In late March, at the NY Auto Show Subaru will show the all-new Forester. This will be in showrooms by June.

I got this info from someone who posted an image of an internal Subaru document, about 6 weeks ago, I believe over at Edmunds(?). Or, it might have been here at the I-Club? I'm, just not sure. It looked official in that it had the Subaru logo on it, as well as having a product timeline with projected production figures.

I've got a 2-page PDF file of this document, if anybody wants it e-mailed to them. I'd post it here, but I don't know how to do that.

Bob

The Philly show is at a bad time this year. Since it overlaps Detroit, they probably won't show much new stuff.
Unless they have the ST-X/Brat-not/Baja hiding in a corner and unveil it after it debuts in Detroit.

They gave us the WRX this year, so next they need to give us the B4

When is the Detroit AutoShow...?

I might just take a drive over there...

NOOOOOOO. So i guess the lancer is coming huh???
Now the choices I have to make. EVo or WRX?? It all depends on what the specs are on a evo. IF it has the fmic, brembo's and the recaro's I'd say Sold. Well I'm going to the philly show with many rolls of film and hoping to see some evo's and 03 rex's

The evo looks like a sure thing. The STI is also a sure thing. My sources say sometime around Sept of this year.

No one is quite sure of either cars final specs yet though.

Perhaps there will be some light shed on the subject at this weekends auto show

The EVO 7 has a gas tank the size of a TV, ie you can't go far between fillups. Check out scoobynet, there's always some discussion on the evo vs. scooby debate.
