Default Most Powerful STI Ever.

Stolen from my home away from home:

http://www.awdpirates.net/phpBB2/vie...er=asc&start=0

Cliff notes of the thread on AWDPirates:

Kid buys STI. Blows turbo up. Puts new one on, then decides he wants a supercharger. Guts turbo and uses it as exhaust piping. Removes MAF, puts on supercharger, drives around. Goes to local dyno and makes 80 AWHP. Take supercharger belt off, car makes slightly less HP. Then engine dies.

The radiator hose and coolant overflow bottle just scream attention to detail.

theres some quality **** there

Quote:
56 HP with the supercharger, maxed out around 1psi of boost
took supercharger off to see what would happen, 42 HP
Wouldn't rev past 5000rpm

battery relocated to trunk with OO guage wire to engine bay, then down to 8 guage wire for the main ground. Possibly explaining alot of instrument and engine issuses (other than the supercharger)

instead of removing and selling a perfectly good turbo, it was destroyed and turned into the worlds least effiecient exhaust. 2.5RS exhaust would have done the trick and at 56 hp would have been big enough.

Front calipers have about a hair's width of clearence to the wheels, which means no room for sticky weights so the wheels either have ugly clamp ons, or they are out of balance.

Could have used at least one more washer to get that belt in line.

i think this is why some car manufacturers are making DIY projects more harder to do.

Who wouldn't want to buy a car with a supercharger and a turbocharger AT THE SAME TIME!?

Would this be super-turbocharged or turbo-supercharged?

I miss the olden days of GpB. Most of the cars were twin-charged.

Anyone else notice the hood strut looking thing running in front of the strut tower to where the turbo inlet pokes out from under the intake manifold?
