Default Autocross brake pads and Winter: Compatable?

I find it funny when vendors advertise "Stop great when cold! Very streetable!"

"So what do you mean by cold?"
"30F"
"Oh... So how will these work at say 0- -15 below?"
"We suggest you stick with OEM pads."

So do you guys run a different set pads during the summer/winter? Or are you lazy and just keep your autocross pads on all year? Any issues at all?

I am doing a swap to H6 rears on my 2.5RS, and the package came with Hawk HPS, so hence why I am wondering.

Good topic.

I've been running stock pads for auto-x for 3 years, and they've been fine until this past event. I felt like I needed better braking, and I'd probably upgrade pads before going to a bigger brake setup and a new class (STX has nobody in there).

So, bump for some winter feedback from guys with non-OEM pads.

I run performance pads at the moment, but I would not run them in the winter time, they are supposed to be heated up evenly or they wear fast also, they are noisy when cold. I will be changing back to stock pads this winter.

AutoX pads like heat. I've heard of people running different pads and rotors just for competing. Of course this is for track days, never heard of people doing it for autoX.

I've been running Carbotech Bobcats year 'round for a few years. No issues.
