Default Strange????

I recently flashed the XPT stage 2.5 map. This is probably coincidence but my speedometer is fluctuating like a tachometer and my gas gauge is reading improperly. This is 48 hours after the flash and car has been running great since then. I had one occurrence of a over boost condition in 4th yesterday. This morning the CEL was flickering and the car had a rough idle and a hesitation at higher speeds. Please help.

Bump for some insight. Could this have anything to do with my Walbro install? I can't see how a re-flash could affect the gas gauge and speedometer???

flash back to your previous map....

what are your engine mods? injectors especially.

what is the map designed for?

sounds like you flashed the wrong year map?

did you disconnect the green connectors after reflashing?

its difficult to help people with little information...

Flashing back to my previous map is what Braden at XPT tuning recommended.

My engine mods are everything required for the XPT stage 2.5 MAP: VF34, STI pink injectors, Catless TBE, MadDad Version 2 header w/catless velocity uppipe, GM BCS, COBB SF Intake version 2, EBAY TMIC.

The map is designed for any of the following VF series: VF30,VF34,VF39, pink injectors, GM BCS, catless TBE, catless uppipe, STI intercooler, and STI panel filter.

I hope I did not flash the wrong year map, the file says MY02 XPT Stage 2.5 91oct Final.hex

I did disconnect the green connectors after reflashing.

That's a pretty descriptive topic title.

Fuel pump install could affect your fuel gauge reading. If you accidentally bent the long rod with the float this would screw up your fuel gauge.

I flashed it back to stock and noticed no change in anything. In fact yesterday my coolant temp gauge started dancing around. I am going to go over all the wiring I was around this weekend and check for anything unusual. The part that sucks is my car runs great and pulls hard when in the higher RPM's. When I am at 1700-2500 RPM is when I feel the hesitation, plus I have a rough idle. Does anyone know if the TGV wiring, fuel injector wiring is tied in at all with the gauge setup??

Could someone point me in the right direction. My gauge symptoms seem to have vanished, but I still have the hesitation and rough idle. On my stock map I would get a vibration from the motor around 2000 rpms, not to mention a strange miss at about 1700 rpms, hardly noticeable. I believe with the XPT map the problem is now heightened. My question is what should I be looking at for a hesitation between 1700-2500? Fuel filter, plugs, O2 sensor???
