Default Interesting 98 2.5 RS with Full '04 STI conversion and Gt35R

This car really was scray fast - it was light and man it moved fast - amazing car

It had a full 2004 STI drivetrain and interior with a UR Gt35R turbo kit - tuning was with the Ecutek and the SD UTEC - came out great runs like stock but tears ass and all at a very reasonable pump gas level

AL

438whp at ~21psi on pump gas

I must be missing something.

Al has their dyno setup to read like a Dynojet. These numbers are pretty spot on for a 35R and pump gas.

Soooooo.......does the 35r really hit full boost at 4900-5k on the street?

what's he using for boost control Al?

people seem to think that a 30r hit's full boost at 4k and a 35r about 4-500 rpms later.....but I haven't seen it on dyno graphs.....it always seems waaay later than that.

That is correct - the number was dyno jet corrected

Interestingly - as of today I am tuning back on a dyno jet at www.icsperformance.com so there will be no more wondering which correction I am using !

BTW - how is your car - back on the road yet - I am not having much luck with my 07 gear swap - may be time to call bucshwacker !

I did 433 on pump, but I had to run 26-27 psi... BUT, I also had a considerable boost leak and was on a 2.0... so on a 2.5, 21 psi, GT35R... its reasonable, I guess.

We built an STI engine a few months ago....Pauter rods, Wiseco pistons, stock heads/cams, Kingpin 35R kit, Hydra etc.....made 425whp at 22-23psi on Buschur's Mustang Dyno. This car trapped consistent 117-119 at the Suby/Evo shootout.

My car, down a cylinder, made 400whp with a 35R at 25psi on Buschur's dyno.

Spun the #3 rod bearing and #1 and #4 were pretty ugly. I've been super busy lately with work and vacation that I don’t have time to deal with it, nor do I want to either. So I shipped the short block to Axis Racing….getting the full stage 3 short block treatment…..subbing out the Pauter rods and CP pistons for Carrillos and Wisecos though. Hopefully get it back in the next couple weeks.

My trans was perfect for the 650 miles the motor lasted. I was using 3 quarts of Valvoline dino 75w90 and 1 quart of Pennzoil synchromesh.....worked great!

Although, I don't know how happy Dan B. will be if another STI tranny shows up on his doorstep.

I saw this car in the "for sale" boards about 2 months ago. Asking price was originally 18K and then dropped to 16K. Any idea what the current owner paid for it? Just sorta curious.

I think you have me confused with someone else. I haven't touched an Acura in a while. Also I am not working for anyone directly either... You definitely dont know what you are talking about if you are in fact referring to me.
