Default A/C on w/Defroster

I hate the fact that SOA has the a/c compressor come on when in defroster mode. I know that is to help with clearing the front windshield but I hate it. The air gets cold and I have to run with just the fan on when parked to keep the meldew smell from coming.

Anyone know how to bypass this? I can just push the a/c button if i want the a/c to come on.

Thanks,

Russell

If the air gets cold you can always turn the temperature knob to a warmer setting.
There is obviously a wire somewhere that you could snip to disengage the A/C, but I'd just leave it.

I agree. I hate the fact that the AC comes on when the defroster is on too. It is dumb caue sometimes in the winter when you start you car in the AM you want to put the defroster on with high heat so that the snow/ice will melt. But it seems that you have to wait for an extra long time when the AC is on. On top of that I like to let the car warm up in the AM. And if you put the defroster on with high heat you really drain the engine which is not good when it is very cold out.
