Question xs engineering CAI

does anyone have the xs engineering intake yet? If so where did you get it, how much was it, and how does it work?

AEM is good and all but from what I've read the XS produces more HP on a stock WRX. I would like to get one too.

Isnt the XS intake a all-in-one type of intake (turbo inlet hose-short ram) if so its worth it, because then u wouldnt have to get lets say the samco turbo inlet hose....i have a AEM but if this is true, i would go with it....

Talking XS Cold Air Intake

The recent issue of "turbo" magazine had a write about the XS CAI. The picture appeared to be from the fneder, u shape or bent pipe that the cone filter attaches to. And then a pipe that connects to the pipe that comes from the turbo. But if they have a all in one system, I would like to see the numbers, dyno.
The XS CAI has posted numbers already. They are higher than the rest of the CAI's on the market. The the CAI that go through the fender have better numbers than the ones that stay in the engine compartment.

Happy New Year!

Every picture of the XS intake I've seen has not included any part to replace the turbo inlet hose. Basically the same parts as the other cai's. If this was the case, then maybe more of us would believe their outrageous dyno numbers.

so does anyone have any info on this cai, I read the article in turbo magazine and it increased hp almost by 15 over stock at the wheels, seems like a lot of hp for a cai, but if thats it it seems like a no brainer decision to get one. Anyone have any info, their website doesnt show it? thanks, Matt

I called them two weeks ago. Said it would only be March or so that it would be ready for retail. Mag article was a pre pro unit. Guy was very helpful and said the numbers in the mag were 100% legit. I plan on getting one. My only thoughts however are that the existing intake has the scopp in the front that has a type of mild ram air effect. AS dynos are done in house, I am wondering what the dynos would show on the street IE where the ram air effect could help would it perhpas yield higher HP than the xs or other non stock systems?
