Default Can the WRX 2002 4EAT handle an EJ257 engine?

Hello all,

In the event, that my wrx 2002 ej20 engine gets destroyed for some reason or another,

Firstly, can the STi engine even correctly connect with the 4EAT transmission?

Secondly, Can the WRX 2002 4EAT handle an EJ257 engine?

What modification if at all any, does the 4EAT transmission need to handle the power output of the USDM STi engine?

Thanks in advance to discussing this possible situation.

You would need to keep the stock ECU since it can communicate with the TCU.

Run synthetic atf, get a tranny cooler, and make sure you let the tranny cool down after long spirited drives. Should last a while.
