Post Dealer Prep, esp Winnipeg

The dealer in Winnipeg emailed me the following ref. dealer prep- in case you didn't know

They do the following:
Check operations/controls of the veh
prog radio stations
fill washer fluid
check all levels
insert fuses
connect a/c compressor clutch connector
ensur overall operation of the veh. is right
shipping wax is removed using a special "De-Wax" chemical
install wheel locks/block heaters in all vehicles

That is the impression I got when I asked about it. Basically they have a checklist (at least where I got mine) that they go through and check off each one to make sure everything works, etc. I have a copy of the checklist somewhere and there are like 100 things. Mind you, some are pretty simple like making sure the dome light comes on, switch to brights, turn on A/C, foglights, oil level, etc. I would hope that all dealers have a process like this to ensure a product that is ready for the purchaser is problem free. But, you never do know ...
