Default 5zigen Twin mode clutch system

Quite interesting, and not too expensive either.

Anyone care to try?

They need to modify this to work with some sort of paddle shifting system.

Very Cool....

i wonder if the switch button can be mounted somewhere other then the shiftknob, like where the variable center diff switch would be...if so, i'd be very interested in the kit...

Price wise it's pretty reasonable. I'd love to see someone that has this on ANY car.

I'm kinda confused on the Auto-mode.

Is this like fully auto where the new electronics will do all of the shifting for you, but if you want you can cause up/down shifts by pushing up/down on the shift lever?

Interesting....

the way i interpreted it to be is that with it off, its just like your standard manual tranny. with it on, it works just like a tiptronic/steptronic system

i wonder if it requires you to work the clutch on starts with the system on. i know the impreza wrc's system does...that would be awesome if it didnt

If it doesn't handle the clutch in first gear I don't see how it can help in traffic.

Couple this twin clutch system with the Sequential shifter that Takira has on their web site and you'd have a cool tranny set up.

im not sure about the first gear starting conditiosn but i think there is some intervention needed, it needs you to change the gears, just not press in the clutch... what i'm wondering is how smooth it shifts...

and how fast it eats clutches, at that?

i think that this is badass...but it says under engine - EJ20...so does that cause a problem with RS-Ts with EJ25s?
but i remember someone saying... "EJ engines will hook up with EJ transmissions".

Turbo transmissions have different clutches than non turbo transmissions. This may cause problems.
