Default who in DFW knows where to get a Turboback installed?DFW

i want to get a turboback installed on an 07 wrx, but i honestly dont know where to go. SoP wants a grip, is there any independants that can do it in a day? i dont really trust muffler shops with more than a catback. FIS is usually backlogged for ages, and this is a car thats driven every day? im more on the ftw side but will goto the other side if need be. any suggestions would help

It's pretty easy...if you have a socket set and a couple wrenches you can knock it out in a couple hours. I'd say that I'd help but I can't gaurantee that I'll have the time to meet up.

It's really not too hard to do yourself. I did mine saturday with no jack stands, no garage and no sunscreen. It took me about 5 hours with 2 dedicated to just getting the heatshield off. If I would have taken the intercooler off as suggested it would have taken 3.5 hours for the whole install.

Just finished installing my downpipe this morning. Took me a little longer than average, but only because I kept getting pulled away by my better half. But yeah, it's pretty simple. One thing they haven't mentioned yet that is really good advice is...

get a can of PENETRATING OIL!!! lol really helps a lot. Once you get the heatshield off, spray the 5 bolts holding the downpipe to the turbo liberally and let it soak in for a little bit. They'll come loos pretty easy after that.

He will most likely also need a Dremel or cutoff wheel for getting the heatshield back on.

That being said, if you have one of those, I can do it in about 2-3 hours. I live off of Loop 820 West and Interstate 30.

If you bring it down to SOD, i can get it done for you while you wait most likely, and it will only cost you about $190-$200. Just make sure you contact me and let me know who you are since that's a special price (about a $50 discount) for Nasioc guys (and gals).

If you are interested, you HAVE to call Rhonda in the service dept and make an appointment.

Yeah, i don't set the prices on this stuff unfortunately...all i'm allowed to do is discount my labor for doing it. The labor rate is set by the big guys on high. I do my best to give you guys as much of a break as i can though.

You already have a catless uppipe.

Why do you want to do an uppipe install on an '07? Yours is already catless. I don't know if replacing the OEM one with an aftermarket one would be worth the tiny amount of gains it'd give
