i found a bike! 2006 Iron Horse yakuza kumicho type R, just like the other one i was looking at but only 800 bucks. it's in good condition, there is a light scuff on the stanchions up high on them... i would pick it up this weekend but i am gunna be in VT all weekend snowboarding and such. so either tuesday or next weekend i will be picking up, then im gunna be feening to go riding.

Those are decent bikes. Attitash used the Yakuzas for their DH rental bikes, and I believe they held up fairly well. Great way to get a DH rig without breaking the bank.

That is a nice build. People on PB are often POS's so hopefully it all works out.

My buddy sold his reignX on PB, he listed all the parts that were on it and had a bunch of pictures. Some kid in PA buys it, then threatens to bring him to small claims court cause the pieces were painted white. He had the list of parts and the pictures. ********.

I can't wait to ride. Finally got my BETD linkage for my AC-1 and 888RC3 fork to go with the extra travel. Thinking about making a little jump park with snowbanks. Anyone every try this? Sounds like it will work and my uncle said I could use his tractor.

That should be the perfect size. I am 6'1" and I ride a medium 17" DH bike.

this bike is very local to me, it seems like it's decent. the guy said the forks need a tune-up. i don't know what that entails but i don't imagine it could be too expensive.

That's a nice one too, especially with the floating brake. You could probably find someone on BS to rebuild it, if not Billy at Highland will.

yea i noticed that too, i think the guy is hiding stuff about that kona, the description claims it's a 07. he must have rode it pretty hard to need the fork rebuilt already? so it's between that and the 06 iron horse yakuza. which i think i am going with the IH. seems like it would be a more reliable, more sturdy, better to pedal on bike.

Forks needing tune ups is pretty standard for the more expensive ones actually.

That IH sounds like a good idea, a NEW bike is always a good feeling. They are selling so cheap because their parent company just went bankrupt, but they don't really have a warranty for DH bikes anyway.

I'm still glad I stole my Sunday for $1000 off because of that website

Just woke up from a sweet mountain bike dream....

Im def. buying a sweet new front fork for this summer, the marzoochi or whatever that I have right now suckksss.
Might do some other mods like a crank gaurd, and paint the wheels/calipers gold.

Anyone have any experience painting bike wheels, I remember someone from the meets who painted theres green...

i've got it... 2006 iron horse yakuza kumicho. it's in pretty good condition. the frame has a couple spots where the paint chipped off, other normal wear and tear. the fork kinda feels a little loose in the headtube. idk if thats normal or if something is going bad. there is a little bit of scratch on the upper part of the stanchions. im gunna take like 2000 grit sand paper to it to smooth it out a bit. tires are in good condition, brakes seem pretty good too.

Used DH/FR bikes never look as good in person as descriptions or photos.
