My back doctor told me today that I should get back on the bike.

I'll be getting my Cannondale F700 back in running order and have to take some short runs to get used to it again. Once I get my strength back, I'll have to OWN that ecfreeride guy!

hahahaha

Can't go with you all this weekend either. I am Mr. Mom all this weekend. I would love to ride Vietnam some time soon.

Sorry,

The link will work if you copy/paste. Not sure why it opens the email.

So for Vietnam, the parking lot is sort of behind and just north of Wendy's. Go into the Wendy's lot and you'll see a small road leading off in the back corner. It goes up a slight hill and U turns into an open parking lot.

I don't plan to be there this time. I'm still putting my bike back together after SOMEONE destroyed half of it (looks at ecfreeride with the evil eye). I'll likely take it our around the trails west of Whitehall resevoir in Hopkinton to ease back into riding.

What type of riding would you say most of you do? I'm looking at getting a full squish but am wondering if I really need a DH/FR bike or if I cant get away with an AM at places around New England. Any advice?

You can easily get away with an AM bike around here. I've ridden my trail bike (6 inch travel) on everything around here from flat XC to Highland, and Shuttle Runs on Burke Mt.

Thats good to hear. I don't want to spend a whole lot so I figured if I could get away with an AM bike then I would be able to buy a little bit of a nicer AM for the same price as a lower level DH/FR bike.

I think it depends on where you plan on riding the most. If you want to only ride highland then you should get a FR bike, but if you plan on riding universal stuff...nam,trails,highland a medium travel bike should be fine.

Looks like I'll have some crap to fix in the house tomorrow, so I won't be able to make it to vietnam. I'll go next weekend though as it seems more people can make it then

I rode the RI diamond hill trails today (after I found em). Suprisingly more fun than I thought they'd be. Can't beat it for preseason!
