Hey guys and gals!
Been reading this board ever since I got my Rex 3-4 months ago and the only reason I have for not actually posting before this is because the search engine works GREAT!! Every question I had was pretty much answered by someone somewhere. Now, all I need is opinions, and I know they can vary so DON'T HOLD BACK! This is what my "SubyRex Stage 1" would be like: [EXHAUST] Vishnu Uppipe BPM Twin Downpipe BPM Mid section + Highflow cat Scoobysport muffler (gotta love that sound!) [TURBO RELATED] Greddy Profec-B EBC TurboXS BOV [MISC] Piggyback Unichip from either Shiv or Mark U/D Pulleys ??? colder spark plugs So, what would you people think about that setup?? BTW, if you got any preferences for spark plugs, please say so Thanks!

Take a look at stage O it has at least five parts you are looking for.
That will be 5 bucks. Eric |

read somewhere that a bov was not needed with factory maf.
and the factory bov, if you want to call it, does a pretty good job. I too was looking into spending money for that "sound" and then figured to go the stealth route and not advertise.. but if you want/like the "sound" then by all means, uts your money. Also read that you have to calibrate the some bov to bleed all or percentage of the unused boost not needed. so check out the bov for adjustments. what about turbo timer?..cold air intake?..injectors? later |

BOV really is just for sounds
![]() I don't need a TT because I've been using the "drive normally" technique about 4-5 minutes before actually getting to my driveway or wherever I gotta go. I've got 1/2 of the "custom" cold-air thing done with the airbox, I won't hack it, but just take the silencer part off and add a small piece to connect the airbox to the fenderwall and close the other hole. As for the injectors, those would be part of my "stage 2" ![]() |

I think is a nice set up. It should be good for low 13 to high twelves (depend on the gas you are using that day
). I hope this helps... |

The scoobysport muffler I believe is 2.5", the rest of the exhaust components are 3.0". Just my opinion your better off sticking with a full 3.0" system...
Get rid of the BOV, most of the fast cars around here are still running the stock BOV. I like stealth, again, my opinion. No way you'll hit low 13's high 12's with this setup as mentioned above, more realistically mid 13's.. jb |

DOH! Scoobysport is 2.5 huh... well I guess I'll go with the MKiii from BPM then
Too bad it costs a FORTUNE Yeah, I knew there was no way I was hitting low 13's with only that, I'd need a turbo upgrade a some other stuff to get that... I'm aiming at 13.7-13.8 which would put me in a nice position. |

Have a look at the Scooby Mania exhaust system.
www.scoobymania.co.uk It is 3" throughout, has twin dump pipe and a more acceptible sound than the BPM system. I suspect it will be cheaper too. As to the 2.5" backbox on 3" system question... I have obtained 300ft lb and over 300bhp from such an arrangement, but I am going to change over to a 3" full system soon, probably the scooby mania one. |

Looks like it would be good, I would reconsider the BOV unless you re-plumb back the the intake (which defeats the purpose of an aftermarket BOV)
I would search for shiv's detailed explanation of what goes on. Basically it gets rid of air that's already been counted by the air sensor, which causes a rich condition as it tries to put enough fuel for the air it THINKS is in the system, but has been vented to atmosphere through the BOV. |
