Default Need some info...

Does anyone know a Dan that lives in wasilla and owns an 04 sti? I'm looking to buy his old shortblock, but i don't want someone else's problem. I was looking for some car history, or someone that has seen the car run before the shortblock was replaced. And in the event that not a soul has a clue to what I'm talking about, disregard. BTW I'm looking for a new shortblock, 2.0 2.5 or 2.2, Turbo only. Thankyou.

Arctic Assassin, do you have a pic of your car? I have a friend with a '93 that's looking to do some mods...

I was kind of hoping for both engine and exterior pics, if possible.

clicky me

mick the ginge was having problems with a ej22 block mating with v7 heads, so i figured the same would apply because how would the coolant passages line up?

thats a negative alex. Matt monson( IDK if you know who he is, but you should) has informed me multiple times, with edging patience, that I can use the stock timing belt, headgasket, ecu, heads and everything, to replace this shortblock. I think he put it best when he told me to buy a factory service manual and perform the procedure for shortblock replacement, except that when it says 2.2, scribble it out and put 2.5. lol. I cant wait to have that beast in my car, except I've got to ring it.
EDIT: just realized that 00maddog has been ignoring me.

correct me if i'm wrong, but as i understand it they work in all combinations except for STI heads on any other block but an ej25x block, they fit mechanically but won't work because the STI heads are designed for a larger bore.

in a couple weeks i'm going to be building a hybrid with 257 block, 205 heads, ej1.8 intake, welded vf39 w/ external wastegate, wrx trans + rear diff, 565cc injectors, forester xt intercooler, piggyback, and meth in the future(to make up for small xt intercooler). all into a 95 4dr L....

but for right now it's still a fp red project that i'll not talk about until its done...

got the red on last night, it's insane. the stock inlet hose is actually smaller then the visible diameter of the compressor wheel!

as for your block AA, just buy a SUBARU ring set and it should be ready for some more action. i would reccomend dohc heads at the same time though, and a larger turbo. i have a ton of 565 cc injectors that fit into your fuel rails too.

Sorry been in soldotna, catching fish. Anyways Jerry, I planned on doing the rings and bearings too, but I've never split a block before. Any way I could get my hands on a manual for a few days? And I'm sure we could work something out on those injectors.
