Default Racing Brake H6 rear upgrade (D770)

I recently purchased the Racing Brake H6 Upgrade from boxer4racing.com and thought I would post some pictures of the caliper bracket and discs.
I decided to go with Racing Brake to see what it offered compared to the OEM setup that many people on here use. It wasn't much more expensive once you take into account shipping (I live in Alaska, 30# of brakes is rather spendy) and the fact that it comes with Hawk HPS pads.

These are pictures of the caliper brackets (D770 pad style) as I got them out of the box. OEM quality fitment and installation. Just needed to paint them black.

Once I got them painted, I was pleased to see that the OEM clips would fit perfectly. Then I proceeded to clean and relube the slider pins and dust boots. The boots have 120k miles on them and surprisingly are in great condition still.

The only time consuming problem I found is how far I had to beat back the dust plates. It was quite surprising. I did not have any sort of cutter or grinder handy so I just used my engineer's sledgehammer to beat back the shield. The first one took about half an hour since it was my first time; second one about 2 minutes. Here is a before and after picture so you can get an idea of how far to beat back.

Before Beating:

After Beating:

Once the dust plates were beat back, the rest was straight forward. Easy install. Great mod for anyone wanting more rear brake bias on the cheap. Racing brake also makes a upgrade kit that uses the D1004 pad style. Htere is a review of that kit posted here.

Done!

In the pic is my Prodrive spring and Tokico D-Spec suspension that I also recently just installed. Will post about that later.

Looks great, post up some impressions of how they work. Well, the brakes and the d-specs.

Good pictures.
