Default battery died

Car has 20k on it, still under warranty. My battery died for no good reason, and i went to autozone and had it tested. Turns out the battery is no good and i had to buy a new one, will subaru do anything?

Why did you take it to Autozone instead of the dealer?

This is probably a bad alternator and not a bad battery...either that or you left a light on. Just fix the problem .

well the alternator seems to be fine, i replaced the battery a couple of weeks ago and the car seems fine now. I took it to autozone because it was a sunday and the dealership was closed.

You need to return to where you replaced the battery. If you went to the dealer, it should be under warranty. If you went elsewhere, take it back there, it should be under warranty.

Subaru will not warranty someone else's battery, but they will warranty the alternator, if that is the problem

You have a 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty

I see them alot and this is a great story

Hell I had a customer whose 07 outback with around 800 miles would not start for him every few days. I keep it for 2 days and it starts everytime and we tested it and it was fine. I give the car back and 4 hours later it doesn't start.

His wife calls the Sales manager up yelling at him about the car they sold them and this and that.

Come to find out, he had keys made at Home Depot and was using them instead of his immobilizer ones!!!

She called back to apologize to the manager
