Smile Kartboy shifter and bushing review

I installed the shifter and bushings a few days ago and thought I might give a review. The install of both components is fairly easy although getting the shifter back into the socket required a bit more force then I anticipated. If anyone has been considering this mod I would recommend it highly! It changes the feel of the car from somewhat sporty to a car that's ready to be shifted aggressively. I thought that the shifter was the better mod of the two. It really shortened the shifts and made the shifts much more positive. The bushings didn't improve on the setup as substantially but it did make the gates a little bit more defined. If anyone has any other questions feel free to email me.

I think the Kartboy short shifter kit is around $135US. One of our members, just recently installed a short shifter too.

He bought it from Mike Moffa. I think his price is around $125-$140 CDN. I might get it too...

Question

I thought that the gear shifter has changed on recent models. What year of car did you use for this mod?

The Short shifter I am selling, If you got it directly from me, its 117$CND + Shipping..

It will reduce the trow by a lot.. Everyone that got is is totally satisfy with it.. it also a little bit lower then the OEM one.. 3/4" lower

To date, I sold arround 20 in canada.. I dont ship to US for the moment. I also got some Skid plate and Shoulder pads..
Here, at this address you can find pictures of everythings.

If you want some Shifter, I can have them at the end of next week (because I am leaving in vacation)

Shoulder pads, I got all colors in stock, yellow, blue, red and black.

Skid plate is the same as the shifter

I will also have some Links pretty soon.. They are on testing right now.. but everything is going fine.. So, they should be available when I come back from vacation.. Price will be post then.. It should be cheaper then the one in the US.
Big Aluminium Link

here is a picture..

Thanx guys

Syms, the shifter is custom made. Its really really easy to install.. its like 20 min.. .You install in by the inside of the car.
The shipping to vancouver will be app. 8$cnd.

For the bushings, sorry, I dont have any aftermarket bushing.. Me and other people in the club, we only install the shifter with the OEM bushing.. If you put like exemple a Syms Bushing, your shifter will be stiffer.. but the trow will be the same.

The shifter will reduce the trow by a lot, and also its lower then the OEM..

Let me know if you are interested..

Take care
