Default Has anyone ever experienced this?

We had my 07 flashed and it ran great. the car however popped an up-pipe gasket at a recent track day so we flashed it back to stock and brought it into the dealer to have it warrantied....why not I said, it only had 500 miles on it.

While it was there they reported an overboost condition and reflashed in the stock map.

Now we are unable to connect to the ECU. we have tried several options to see if we can connect and to no avail. We cannot even get it to go into test mode and cycle the fans.

I have tried swapping ECU's with another car here but the Immobilizer is preventing that from happening.

Has anyone here ever had an issue with not being able to connect to the factory ECU after the dealer has been into it?

The only other variable is that we put in an aftermarket head deck since the car has been flashed back to stock... I highly doubt that would have any effect on it though.

Eric

Make sure they didn't disconnect the second green connector behind the passenger kick panel.

if that is a harness that directly connects to the ECU it would of been taken care of as we just tried swapping ECU's. Is this apart from the ECU harness?

No, it's not directly connected to the ecu. It's behind the plastic upright to the right of the passengers feet.

I just pulled that panel and it looks to be all hooked up. That sucks I was hoping you just found a stupid but simple fix.

Hpefully you can fix it Eric, this might sound stupid but try a different engine management like the AP couldn't hurt

i had a similar issue with a 07 sti. with ecutek no less. car wouldnt go into test mode. i am not sure what causes it, but all we did was turn off the ignition and wait for the 2 relays to click and turned it back on and it went into test mode. problem with that was it was still itermittent, so i am not sure how much help that'll be

Yeah, we have tried this several times to no avail. We might try to unmarry the shops AP to see if that will connect...im pretty pesimistic about it though.
