Default I offer......"A work in progress"

From the beginning.
In 2003 I was looking at getting another hotrod. I was a high school Mopar guy owning 2 small block Challengers and a big lock A body Barracuda. I was a previous Subie owner also with a 81 dual range wagon and a 85 2wd GL hatch. It was either another E body Dodge, or a 227 horse out of the box, A/C, 6 disc changer Subie. I found this Sonic at a dealership in June and the STI was just coming out. I figured insurance would get the best of the STI after people started wrecking them, and I knew I was going to mod it anyway. Did I mention it was Sonic.
With about 2000 mile on the car I had it at full stage 4 plus and the stock 2.0 block was pushing 303 hp.
Than the drive train was removed with about 10K for no reason other than more mods.
I did the bodywork and paint on all non stock body parts, while XXTuning did the drive train install.
Last year was my first experience on track for a few HPDEs and I love it.
Failures to date include a popped rear sway bar endlink box(STI) and a bad coil pack. Other than that the car has been rock solid for 4 HPDEs and a week at the Dragon.
It is not daily driven, I have a turbo Baja for that.
Some threads and a few current pics.
Ill get up a mod list later, but its basically anything you can bolt on the car.
It was dynod at 515, on C16 and 24psi, but Ive made a few changes for the better and think it has another 50-100hp in it. Full spool is at 4000 and from that point its a monster.
The threads below also have other pics and info.
P.S. robbieshonda made me do it.. lol

These pics are from the Dragon last weekend and today.

I know at this piont that I'm 1 pic over, but I don't know which one to lose. I can be a pic whore..edit at random.

Default

Here comes my car,
In the end of 2003,I traded my bmw 325 convertible for a lovely black wrx
gda. Had driven fwd and rwd car before the subaru, I thought it's time to
try the power of AWD. Didn't choose a Lancer Evolution as I like the pure
mechanical control by the driver instead of electronic aid that makes me
look good.

Didn't choose a STI as I thought the cost difference between a sti and a
wrx is enough for me to mod my wrx to go faster than a sti.

As I get on NASIOC I learned that the biggest enemy of or EJ20 is high temp.
The first mod to my car is a HKS oil cooler. Enjoying my car everday but
you know you can never satisfly the need for speed. I started my no return
journey of modding my car to the standard that I want.

Stage 1 include a 255L fuel pump,Power 1820 turbo, sard fuel pressure regulator, HKS boost controller and some exhaust parts, brake hose, pads
and AST adjustable shocks.

As I read more and more stories at NASIOC and at local subaru club forum,
the modding devil keep haunting me everyday and night.

My philosophy for modding my wrx is performance comes first. And light
weight is better than power adding. That's why carbon-fibre is the theme
of my car. I want my car to be the King of the hill.

After countless hours of studying Japanese books,Nasioc articles and stories
of my subaru fellow owners at Hong Kong. I mod my car to the stage 3 in my
standard(present stage). Time to type a mod list before you are bored by
my story.

well i guess i will enter this if its still open

welll heres my story

i have been into cars my entire life. when i was younger i used to help my dad do maintence on the family cars and tinker with his old chevy ( its gone i miss it ). As many some of u know i had a wrx before this. Thats how i got into subies. I put alot of time and money in that car, but about a year and a half ago i got got a very nice raise and bonus at work so i decided what the hell i will buy myself an sti as a daily driver. So i traded in my lovely stage 4 yellow 03 bugeye for a brand new sti. At first the car was to stay suttle a only go stage 2. But then the bug hit me hard. I finnally had enough money to buy the rare parts i had been drooling over for years. So i hooked up with fizz and got hooked doin shows. i have only done a few because the car in my opinion is not ready. By next year i should be done and ready to win some shows. And as of right now this is a daily driver and can be seen on the highways here on long island almost everyday. I love driving this car. Its a friggen dream come true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wrx made 484whp Phil said on a dynojet it should be around 570-580whp
