Where to buy helmets locally?

Where is a place with a decent selection of cheap helmets for autocross? We only need M rated correct? I don't plan on need SA anytime soon since we do not have a road track up here. (Sadly)

Alaska Leather is who I recommend. Kemosabe seemed to have bad luck with em. But when I got all my motorcycle gear with em everything was good priced, a quickly ordered/delivered.

For auto-x you only need m-rated, and 2000 or 2005. Try to get a 2005.

Unsure of ARP's requirements, yet for solo I know that the SCCA will be selling their loaner helmets at the end of the season! This may not help if you're looking for drag strip useage, yet an option for an inexpensive helmet from SCCA coming soon...

Doesn't help for people without a helmet wanting to finish up the Solo season either.

Just for Solo II. I have an RS, so not much use/fun at the dragstrip!

I will head by the Honda dealer so see what they have.

Alas, but the Region allows "newbies" to make use of the helmets at SCCA Solo events at NO CHARGE for their first two events. After that, Registration is to charge $10 per event. Seems like that is less expensive (with only two events remaining) than purchasing a new helmet that you "may" not use until April 08!?

Then again, I don't have excess disposable income just waiting to spent. So, I offer that the Region (and many others) have had good service with Alaska Leather, and mention of SCCA Solo events used to be good for a 10% discount.

This is good info, and a good question on the price. The SCCA helmets aren't in too bad of shape, from what I've noticed at the past few events.
