Tell ya what. I could be a buyer for this but I need to confirm that the blocks have the same internals. How many miles are on the block ? I also live in PA so it would need to be shipped. How about I check on the internals and you post up some pics of the cylinders and bores ?

The FXT block and the STi blocks are different. The STi has forged internals.
Can you give me a price shipped on the turbo to 18104?

It aint as simple as that. The long blocks have different part numbers because the heads are different. According to the threads I have read here and elsewhere the short blocks are the same but have different part numbers. They even cost the same. In addition the pistons are not forged per se. They are hyper cast. I guess Subaru feels softer but longer lasting pistons make more sense for a production car.

So to seller. I am waiting on a pm from someone who can confirm all of this. I am very interested. If you can't turn it locally consider shipping. It is done all of the time.

In the spirit of me not trying to be a know it all could you please link a reference that expalins that ? All of the info I have gathered points to the blocks being identical. Pistons, rods, etc. I am convinced enough to buy this one but I have not heard from the seller.

The 2004/2005 FXT shortblocks are the same thing as the STI shortblock, the heads are just different.

Would you consider shipping the block to cali? If so, name a price. Also, how many miles were on it, is it in good shape..no cylinder wall scratches etc.

I apologize to everyone I was in Florida for vacation. The block and the turbo is still for sale. Turbo is in very good shape and minimal/no shaft play. The block has unknown miles but I believe the person who i bought it from said less than 10k from an fxt. I will be getting pics as soon as I get the internet set up at my apartment.
